The second version of Popper has minor (but significant) improvements!
This new batch of Popper features an improved fan motor, and new heating control. There are now 7 heat stages, and all 7 focus on the heating range that is useful for coffee roasting profiles. Popper is best for light and medium roasts only. Popper comes with 1 lb of green unroasted coffee to get you started. We think using a watt meter with the Popper is brilliant! It lets you know exactly what your heat setting is in watts, talking some of the guesswork out of getting consistent results.
We highly recommend using a digital scale to weigh out your batches so you get good results! For any coffee roaster, weighing your batch to the gram is the best way to get consistent results. You’re flying blind if you just guess at the batch size.
With the new Popper v2, All units are quality-checked in Oakland before we ship them! Popper comes with a limited 30 day warranty against manufacturer defects. Popper is really for light and medium roast levels. (Using the Popper for dark roasting is not covered by a warranty. We recommend the low cost Poppo popper for that! )
